Offer to Volunteer

The ministry of CCI members impacts a million people each year; children and young people as well as adults. Many members have opportunities for volunteers to work with them undertaking a variety of tasks.

Being part of a staff team means commitment and needs enthusiasm. In return you will have the opportunity to meet many people, make new friends as well as enjoying a time where you can develop your Christian faith. These opportunities are typically in two areas:

Summer Camps

A number of members run summer camps for children and young people. These tend to be of 1 week in duration and a volunteer is likely to be asked to attend a weekend preparation course prior to the event. Volunteers will also be expected to be registered with the Independent Safeguarding Authority or the PVG scheme in Scotland.

Centre Volunteers

Opportunities do exist with members for volunteers to assist for a longer period. Typically this would be for a minimum of three months. Often the role can include accommodation and some members are able to offer to assist with some out of pocket expenses. Again most roles would require the volunteer to be registered with the Independent Safeguarding Authority or the PVG scheme in Scotland.
