Situated within Dartmoor National Park in South West England, Heatree Activity Centre is a Christian residential outdoor centre, governed by the registered charity Heathercombe Brake Trust. Through adventures in the natural environment, we focus on providing experiences for children and young people to learn about the Christian faith in a way that is relevant and inspiring to them. Regardless of their background, ability or step in their faith journey, individuals explore what makes them unique and what it means to put their trust in others. We empower young people with important life skills and teach them how to face life’s challenges.

Spread across three accommodation wings, Heatree, Farmhouse and Stables, our bedrooms are dorm-style bunk bedded rooms, the majority with en-suite facilities. Each wing has its own lounge, dining area and drying room and the larger wings have an additional breakout room. Our extensive grounds include lawns, fields, woodlands and moorland, providing plenty of space to explore and use as part of your programme. A short walk from the main building is an indoor sports barn which includes a bouldering wall, and is ideal for indoor games during inclement weather. We also have a Bronze age roundhouse and garden on-site which is particularly suitable for small groups where you can gather around the fire for a truly immersive experience into history, or alternatively for use as a peaceful prayer or worship space as part of your programme.

Being immersed in the beautiful and safe surroundings of Heatree’s 180 acre estate provides a unique and inspiring place for exploring and sharing faith, for food and fellowship; and space for reflection, to disconnect and to reconnect.
