Our Vision - is a just world where every child is educated, healthy and cared for.

Our Mission - is to reduce extreme poverty and build the Kingdom of God in the lives of children, through collaborative work within communities, schools and churches in the UK and Malawi.

Since 2003 Starfish has developed and grown its various ministries and projects in the core area of Salima and the surrounding rural villages, to improve education by the provision of nursery schools, facilitating the building of many primary school classrooms and opening a healthcare clinic to provide general outpatients care to a community of 13,000 people.   

We support and work with church leaders within Salima, to enable the study of the word of God through provision of Christian libraries, so they can act as positive role models within the community.

We aim to go deeper in the core areas in which we work and to empower Malawians to take the lead in our projects.   

We have also partnered with other charities in various ways, to pool resources or to help each other with similar needs. We are keen to raise the awareness of the needs of the children and families in the rural communities and have been assisted by UK organisations in advice and planning of such things as children’s playgrounds. 

We welcome people who have an interest in our work to visit Malawi, to see first-hand the work that is being done and to consider how they may be able to partner with us in one of the projects.
