It stands on the coffin route between Ambleside and Grasmere, with an onsite riverside tea shop right on hand to explore local walking routes.

Our spacious and purpose-built self-catering group accommodation has all you need to make the most of your stay in the Lake District. The accommodation is both welcoming and comfortable and has facilities that enable you to relax following a big day in the great outdoors.

We offer a friendly atmosphere set in spectacular scenery in the heart of the Lake District, with something for everyone.

Situated to the rear of the main Hall, the Bunkhouse:

• sleeps up to 28 people
• Room 1 - sleeps 3 (this is the room with 1 single bed and 1 bunk bed with disabled access and wet washroom)
• Room 2 – sleeps 6
• Room 3 – sleeps 9 (This will also have a single bed)
• Room 4 – sleeps 10

The 4 and 6 bed dorms are en-suite. The 9 and 10 bed dorms use the toilets and showers on the ground floor.

All bunkbeds now have new memory foam mattresses, which will give a much more luxury comfort for a good night’s rest.

The communal room has newly fitted furniture, table & chairs, and a TV. Along with a wood burner, on the first floor.

The fully equipped kitchen is beside the communal room and includes a cooker, microwave, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils. Extra shelving has been added for a better storage of food and drinks.

The Bunkhouse is ideal for groups staying for retreats or events who prefer a simpler style of accommodation that are looking to cater for themselves, but catered packages are also available.

Check-in at 4pm and check out at 10am.
Rate includes pillows and pillowcases, but guests supply all other bedding.

One bag of logs is complimentary with additional bags available to purchase from reception.

The bunkhouse is open all year round except the Christmas period - 24th to the 27th December each year.
